4.5.3
THICKNESS – Thickness Measuring
IMPORTANT: ANGLE and DAC functions shall be OFF for proper
thickness measurement!!!
In order to use B-Scan for thickness measuring, the following conditions need to be
fulfilled – see also 7.1. Automatic Thickness Measurement:
4.5.3.1 Using GATE 1 only (GATE 2 OFF):
1. Set GATE 1 over first back wall echo
(may be longer – only first echo within
GATE 1 will be measured).
2. Activate BSCAN menu,

BSCAN MAX value shall be set to
the top thickness limit of the graph
(mm or inch);

BSCAN MIN value shall be set to
the bottom thickness limit of the
graph (mm or inch);
-
THICKNESS value should be set to
the nominal thickness value (mm or inch).
