Installing Hardware Options

3–14 VAX 4000 Model 108 User Information

Installing a Hard Disk Drive in the Rear Storage Bay

One or two optional 3.5-inch x 1-inch high hard disk drives can be installed in the rear
storage bay.

To install a hard disk in this bay, follow these procedures:

1. Turn off the system, unplug the power cord and remove the cover.

2. Remove the 2 screws

which hold the rear I/O bay in place.

3. Slide the flanges of the bay

out of their retaining slots, and lift the bay out of the

enclosure.
