3.6.1 Verifying the SCSI ID Number on the RRD42 Expansion Box
Figure 3–4 shows the rear panel of the RRD42 expansion box, which is shipped
with the SCSI ID number set to 0. The number is displayed in a window
beneath the ID selector switch.

3.6.2 Resetting the SCSI ID on the Second RRD42 Expansion Box
If you add two RRD42 expansion boxes to your system, you must reset the ID
number on the second RRD42 to an open ID — one that is not currently being
used. To reset the number, follow instructions in step 3 of Section 3.4. In the
following example, ID 0 is an open ID.
To determine available ID numbers on the SCSI-A or SCSI-B bus on your
InfoServer 150 system, enter TEST 50 at the console prompt

, then press
Return. Your system configuration appears on the screen. FFFFFF05 indicates
an open SCSI ID number. Look for a display similar to the following:
