2.9 Bootstrapping the System
7.
At the prompt, enter the default password (ESS) or the last saved
password.
If you have forgotten the current password, see the troubleshooting chapter
in the InfoServer System Operations Guide.

The
Xterminal_InfoServer>
prompt appears.
Enter the following commands:
Xterminal_InfoServer> SET STATE OFF
Xterminal_InfoServer> INITIALIZE DK1:
Xterminal_InfoServer> UPDATE SYSTEM DK2:
Xterminal_InfoServer> SET STATE ON
Note
Do not halt the InfoServer system while the software is copying. If the
system is halted accidentally, repeat the procedure described in this
section.

The following messages should appear after a few seconds:
% ESS-I-COPIED, copy operation completed successfully.
% ESS-I-CREATEDBOOT, boot partition created successfully.
If the internal RZ disc is corrupted or the default boot configuration is
altered, the system might fail to boot. See the troubleshooting chapter in
the InfoServer System Operations Guide.
10. Remove the InfoServer Software CDROM from the RRD42 drive.
11. Insert the Function CDROM supplied with your system and enter the
following command:
Xterminal_InfoServer> UPDATE FUNCTION DK2:
