Y-Axis Calibration
Y-axis calibration is a mechanical procedure which requires moving the encoder along the support (
fig. 2
)
1. Remove top cover
2. Loosen screws at both ends of the encoder
3. Move encoder manually
until the probe is in the centre of the reference point and then tighten the screws
4. Select “
Go up
” to bring probe up and turn off motors
5. Move the probe unit along the Y-axis to check that Optic sensors move freely along the encoder
6. Return to Home position
7. Select “
Go down
” and check that probe is correctly centered
8. Repeat procedure from point (2) until position is satisfactory
