Displaying caller numbers and routing calls
The Calling Number Display (CND) service is available on Analogue lines. If you subscribe to
this service, your network sends the telephone number of callers to the Commander Connect
(provided the caller has not elected to restrict the network from presenting their number). The
telephone number (or associated name) is displayed on the ringing Keystations.
The CND information is also shown if the Station is equipped with a standard phone which
supports the CND service.
Note:
Your telephone number will also be presented to persons you call, unless you restrict your
number from being presented.
Note:
If the caller elects not to present their number, the keystation display will show’<Number
withheld>’
Note:
A name will only appear on the display when a number stored in the system speed dial
matches the caller telephone number they are calling from. The system speed dial number
needs to have a name programmed also.
Calling Line Identity (CLI) services are ISDN services available on ISDN lines. If you subscribe
to this service, your network sends the telephone number of callers to the Commander Connect
(provided the caller has not elected to restrict the network from presenting their number). This
number, (or name, if a name has been associated with the number), is displayed on the ringing
Keystations.
The CLI information is also shown if the Station is equipped with a standard phone which
supports the CND service.
Note:
Your number will also be presented to persons you call on ISDN lines, unless you restrict
your number from being presented. Refer to page 112 for information on how to restrict your
number being displayed for calls made over ISDN lines.
As well as displaying the numbers of callers, your Commander Connect allows you to
associate names with caller numbers, and display the names in place of the numbers
