6 - MAINTENANCE
Bucket teeth
1. The degree to which a tooth tip can be worn can be
assessed visually.
2. It is possible to extend the life of a tooth tip which is
wearing unevenly, in a non-symmetrical fashion.
NOTE:
Do not wait for tooth tips to be completely worn
through before changing them.
NOTICE:
Never try to work with a missing tooth tip or a
tooth tip which is worn through. The adaptor could be se-
riously damaged.

NOTICE:
When installing or removing a bucket tooth and a side cutter, place the bucket on blocks and securely fasten
it.
Wear protective gear (protective eyewear, protective gloves, etc.) for this work.
Removal
3. Use the hammer

and punch with the chisel

remove the tooth

4. Clean the adapter

6. Partially insert the pin

with the washer

installed.
7. Insert the pin
(A)
with hammer into the hole in the tooth.
