4 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Holes, obstacles, debris and other hazards in the work-
ing area can cause serious physical injury. Always walk
around and identify all possible hazards before operating
the machine in a new working area.
Make sure you know the location of underground pipes or
cables before beginning work.
Electrical cables, gas pipes, water pipes or other under-
ground installations can cause serious physical injury.
Do not work close to live overhead electric lines with-
out first making sure that the minimum distances are ob-
served:
5 m
.
Running-in period
Your machine will last longer and give better and more
economical performance if you pay particular attention to
the engine during the first
20 h
.
During this period:
Keep a close watch on the instrument panel.
Operate the machine at normal speeds.
Do not run the engine too much at stalling speeds (with
the wheels turning slowly or stopped and the engine at
full speed).
To ensure adequate lubrication, idle the engine at
1000 RPM
for
1 min
before increasing the rpm.
Maintain the engine at the normal operating temperature.
Do not run the engine at idle speed for long periods.
During the running-in period, the following inspections
and maintenance operations must be carried out in addi-
tion to the operations shown in the Maintenance section:
Every 10 hours or daily
Check the engine oil and coolant levels.
Check the transmission and rear axle oil levels.
Check the backhoe and loader attachment lubrication.
After the first 10 operating hours
Check wheel nuts for tightness.
After the first 50 operating hours
After the first 50 operating hours, consult your Dealer
for the
50 h
maintenance recommended by the Manufac-
turer.
