6 - MAINTENANCE
Every 200 hours
Fuel filter water separator
Drain water and sediment from the fuel filter water separator every 10 h or every day.
Clean the filter element of the fuel filter water separator every 200 h or every week.
Replace the filter element of the fuel filter separator every 500 h
1. Open the engine door and place a container with an ap-
propriate capacity under the fuel filter water separator
(1) .

2. Close the fuel cock (1) of the fuel filter water separator.
3. Loosen the drain cock (2) at bottom of the water sepa-
rator and drain off any water collected inside.
4. Hand-tighten the drain coke ( 1.0 – 2.0 N·m ( 8.9 –
17.7 lb in )) and open the fuel coke (1) .
5. Be sure to prime the diesel fuel system.
6. Wash the element (3) and inside cup (4) with clean fuel
oil.
7. Replace the element with a new one if any damaged.
