Using the Memory for Copying
For certain copy functions, the image is first scanned into memory and then used for copying.
Making a Copy while the Machine is Warming Up
(AUTO START)
While the machine is warming up, an original can be scanned. The message “Ready to scan” is
displayed.
Place your originals and select the desired copy mode.

When wishing to copy several originals and a special copy mode is not required, use the feeder.
●
If no copy mode selection has been made, only one original can be scanned from the platen glass.
Press the
Start
key.
The message “Scanning ...” appears on the display.

When an original has been placed on the platen glass, a display
such as shown at left appears on the touch panel display,
depending on the copy mode.
To scan the next original, press the
Start
key again.
When scanning is completed, press the [DONE] key.
After the machine has finished warming up, copying starts.

MEMO
●
If warmup ends while scanning is still in progress, copying starts at that point.
●
During scanning, the image quality setting can be changed.
●
Adjusting exposure during scanning will produce a different result from adjusting exposure
after copying has started.
●
To cancel copying, press the [CANCEL] key on the touch-panel display or press the
Stop
key on the control panel.

Depending on the memory size of the machine, number of originals (LTR size Canon standard chart no.1)
scanned, differs as follows.
