Staple-collate Functions
This function shifts forward only the first page of the printing paper, then automatically aligns the pages
and delivers them.
Collate Mode
This function shifts forward only the first copy of each page of the document, then collates the copies of
each page and delivers them.
Group Mode
This function automatically collates copies into sets arranged in page order, staples the sets and
outputs them.
Staple-collate Mode
Copies are stapled at the following locations.

When an original is placed on the platen glass:

You cannot corner-staple
STMT or STMTR paper.

You cannot use the Transparency Interleaving mode in combination with the Collate function, Group
function or Staple-collate function.

When the delivered printing paper reaches the stacking limit of the tray, the paper is delivered to another tray
that can accept it. When the stacking limit of all of the trays that can accept the paper is reached, printing
stops. By removing all printed papers on the tray, the printing restarts.

If the machine stops during collating, a message is displayed, and the Staple Supply indicator lights while
stapling is taking place, it means that almost all of the staples have been used up and the staple case must
be replaced. Replace the staple case in this case.

If you make copies in the Staple-collate mode, they are delivered to tray C.
CAUTION

Do not place your hand in the part of the tray where stapling is performed while a Finisher is attached, as this may
result in personal injury.
