ENGINE COOLING
COOLING FAN THERMAL SWITCH
The cooling fan, positioned behind the radiator, is fixed to the radiator by three bolts. A thermal switch automatically
controls the fan motor.
This switch remains open when the temperature of the engine coolant is low. It closes when the temperature of the
engine coolant reaches approximately 105°C. and it activates the fan.

To remove the thermal switch it is necessary to firstly drain the en-
gine coolant as described in page D-20.
• Disconnect the coupling of the thermal switch lead of the cooling
fan.
• Remove the thermal switch of the cooling fan 1.
