After draining the oil from the engine, remove the
components listed below in the order indicated.

Refer to the pages indicated for details on how to perform each step.

Remove:
• The engine pinion cover and the silencer protection (see page D-

7 and D-8).

• The left hand footrest and gearchange lever assembly.

• The speed sensor rotor (see page D-16.)
• The clutch disengagement assembly (see page D-16.)
