ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

• Apply a small quantity of LOCTITE 243 to the bolts of the starter
motor housing.
STARTER RELAY CHECK
• Disconnect the – negative cable of the battery 1.
Apply 12 volts to the terminals A and B and check the continuity.

Do not apply the voltage of the battery to the starter relay
for more than five seconds. This could overheat the relay
and damage the wiring.

• Remove the cover of the starter relay 2.
• Remove the complete rear protection complete with rectifier by
unscrewing the three relative fixings.
• Disconnect the starter motor lead and the battery cable fixed to
the starter relay. Remove the starter relay connector 3 from the
starter relay.
• Remove the starter relay.
