1-6. Technical description of the product
GTX-4 is an ink-jet printer for T-shirts (garment printer) equipped with white ink printing capability.
For significant changes from GTX-3, refer to the section below:
1-6-1. Details of the print head
GTX-4 incorporates the latest print head technology available to compound ink-jet printers, significantly improving the
printout speed and printing quality by adopting high-density print nozzles.
The print head consists of front-end (ink-jet head) and back-end (damper and air exhaust unit).
The front-end creates ink channels by laminating plate-shaped components.
The piezoelectric actuators generating the ink deployment pressure differs in individual characteristics due to the
material characteristics of the piezoelectric material and processing accuracy.
The front-end component is attached with a label indicating the characteristics corresponding to individual parts
(V-rating). Upon assembly of the print head, the characteristic data needs to be registered to the on-board memory of
the main circuit board.
The processor drives the piezoelectric actuator under optimized conditions based on the supplied characteristics data to
achieve uniform high quality image output.
The print heads are stored in dedicated casing and shipped with maintenance solution introduced to the fluid channels.
The solution is discharged and replaced with ink when the print head is supplied with ink for printing.
Front-end nozzle plate
The nozzle plate is equipped with nozzles dedicated to each color, and the nozzles are used to discharge individually
colored inks.
