This chapter presents the functions and applications of the TEMPO
®
system
which enable:
− Export of data from the database in a TED file ( TEMPO
®
E xport D ata)
using:

TEMPO
®
Read : Export of tests displayed on the screen (see Exporting
test data on page 6-4).

TEMPO
®
Admin : Export of all the data in the base (see Importing and
exporting data on page 8-14).
Note: An integrity control guarantees that the export file has not been damaged or
modified.

Automatic backup (see Backup on page 6-6):
.
Copies result data and system data to a backup directory.
. Purges samples except those which have at least one test that is not
validated or that was prepared less than one week previously.
. Purges rack readings which are prior to the last 25 readings.
.
Moves audit trail files to a backup directory.
− Database archiving: transfers backup data to a removable, rewritable
storage medium (see Archiving on page 6-11).
Note: The removable, rewritable storage media to use are CD-RW and DVD+RW (see
Appendix 1: General information on CD-RW and DVD+RW).

Audit trail file archiving: transfers backup data to a removable, rewritable
storage medium (see Archiving audit trail files on page 6-12)

Duplicate the database and audit trail files on a removable, rewritable
storage medium (see Copying database backups on page 6-13 and
Copying audit trail files on page 6-14).
− Delete the database and audit trail files (see Deleting database backups on
page 6-15 and Deleting audit trail files on page 6-16).
