IMPORTANT!
The
TEMPO
®
Reader is designed to operate with the door closed.
To avoid reading errors and incorrect results:
−
Keep the TEMPO
®
cards in an upright position (barcode at the top).
−
Do not drop the cards.
−
Do not write on the card wells and barcode.

SA is in no case liable for any incorrect results arising from
failure to respect these recommendations.
CAUTION!
Never remove a reading rack from the TEMPO
®
Reader if the reading cycle has
been interrupted by a power failure (See
chapter 11-Troubleshooting -
Instrument errors: power fail message on page 11-3).
The
TEMPO
®
Reader
can only read
TEMPO
®
cards if a work session has been
opened on the Reading Station computer by an identified user.
TEMPO
®
card reading is performed after incubation.
Note:
A user can choose to perform premature reading of cards being incubated.
In this case:
−
The maximum number of premature readings for a card is equal to the
maximum number of readings for the test minus two readings.
−
The result of the premature reading cannot be validated.
