5.20 Weight Bounding (optional)
5.20.1 Introduction and properties
The Weight Bounding mode allows products entering the line to be
weighed, labelled and totalized in a different way from the weight range
to which they belong.
Up to 9 weight ranges are available and each range is characterized by
a minimum limit and a maximum limit within the scale capacity. A range
is considered to be enabled if the minimum and maximum values are
different from zero. Each valid weight range is associated with a plu in
which the weight-pricing modes of the product are described. PLU
totalizing also becomes totalizing of the Weight Bounding range. A
weight bounding archive is defined and used for memorizing the weight
range definitions and their associations with the PLU. Each set of nine
weight ranges is associated with a quick recall code that can be
associated with one or more PLU. To start processing a Weight
Bounding, you need to select a PLU in which an element of the Weight
Bounding archive is associated.
