Minimum weight: corresponds to the interval between 0 (zero) and a
pre-established number of divisions. I high relative error may occur in
this zone.
Weighing: process by which the weight bearing on the load cell is
detected during the process itself.
Automatic weighing: process for detecting the automatic weight, that
does not require interventions from an operator.
Dynamic weighing: automatic weighing process in which weight
detection occuurs without stopping the product on the scale.
Manual weighing: process for weight detection, that does not require
interventions from an operator. It can activate in the automatic mode as
soon as the operator loads a product on the scale plate, or in the manual
mode when the operator starts the process itself.
Static weighing: Automatic weighing process in which the product
handling system that regulates the way the product is loaded on the
scale, stops the piece on the scale plate to allow its weight to be
detected.
Weighing platform: part of the set-up on which the goods are placed
for weighing.
PIN: pin, rheophore or pole to which the cable connects.
PLC: freely programmable electronic component containing the program
that controls the machine on which it is installed.
PLU: acronym for PRICE LOOK UP , or a product search (identification)
element. It includes all the specific information of every product that can
be processed, i.e. provides data that guide the conveying, handling,
weighing, labelling and totalizing process.
Additional information can be associated with each plu in order to
express the plu's relation with other elements in the system.
