Reminder
Period
This item is the core of the Scheduler fea-
ture. It sets the default for the time win-
dow prior to a scheduled date of
examination, during which the Scheduler
will remind you to contact the patient.
There are four setting options: 1 week,
2 weeks, 1 month or a number of days
that is typed by the user.
The visual indication for the Reminder
activation is the change of patient status
on the Visit Database list (7.5, "Tracking
Down a Patient’s Measurements‚"
page 7-19), as the patient record icon
becomes yellow.
This happens when current date is within
Reminder Period time window.
Example:
If the next examination is
scheduled for 1st of April 2004, and the
Reminder period is set for 2 weeks, on
March 15, 2004 the patient record on the
Visit Database will be tagged yellow. This
would mean that it is time to contact the
patient to remind him or her of the
appointment.
