Preparing, Loading, and Changing the Tubing Set and Fluid Bag 

During the preparation of the fluid bag and tubing set, you must use aseptic technique, follow hospital 
guidelines for changing bag sets, and follow the directions for the fluid bag provided by the manufacturer. 
The pump may be used with several types of fluid bags, including:

Q

Baxter 100 mL or 250 mL bags, or 

Q

Viaflex or IntraVia containers, or similar fluid bags up to 500 mL 

The following directions are provided to assist you in using the different types of bags in the pump. These
