5. Troubleshooting
Code 8118: “Lens focus current too high” (Warning)
Situation Solution
The LED “ERROR CH5/6” on the
Motor Control Board lit up indicating
that there is a problem with the lens
focus or lens zoom. See also "Motor
Control Board Diagnostic LEDs",
page 310. Check if:
• the electrical socket of the Lens or Lens Holder are not damaged (short circuit).
• the wire unit between Motor Control Board and Lens Holder socket is not damaged
(short circuit).
• the mounted Lens is not malfunctioning.
Code 8119: “Lens focus current too high” (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 8118: “Lens focus current too high”. The same troubleshooting table can
be applied to.
Code 8120: “Lens zoom current too high” (Warning)
Situation Solution
The LED “ERROR CH5/6” on the
Motor Control Board lit up indicating
that there is a problem with the lens
focus or lens zoom. See also "Motor

• the electrical socket of the Lens or Lens Holder are not damaged (short circuit).

This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 8120: “Lens zoom current too high”. The same troubleshooting table can

Code 8122: “Shutter current too high” (Warning)
Situation Solution
The LED “ERROR CH7/8” on the
Motor Control Board lit up indicating
that there is a problem with the
shutter. See also "Motor Control
Board Diagnostic LEDs", page 310. Check if:
• the wire unit of the DC motor of the Shutter is not damaged (causing a short circuit).
• the DC motor of the Shutter is not malfunctioning.
Code 8123: “Shutter current too high” (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 8122: “Shutter current too high”. The same troubleshooting table can be
applied to.
Code 8126: “Lens hits prism” (Warning)
Situation Solution
The mounted lens touches the prism. Shift the lens in the opposite direction.
Code 8127: “Lens hits prism” (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 8126: “Lens hits prism”. The same troubleshooting table can be applied
to.
Code 8128: “Horizontal lens shift stopped” (Warning)
Situation Solution
Motor Control Board not calibrated. Calibrate the Motor Control Board. See "Calibrate Motor Control Board", page 286.
Horizontal shift motor disconnected. Check if the wire unit of the horizontal shift motor is connected with the motor.
Malfunction horizontal shift motor. Replace the horizontal shift motor. See "Replacement of the Horizontal Shift stepper
motor", page 236.
Code 8129: “Horizontal lens shift stopped” (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 8128: “Horizontal lens shift stopped”. The same troubleshooting table
