5. Troubleshooting

Code 6042: “Board id: display module read error” (Error)

Situation

Solution

Disconnected gray

at cable

between PMP board and Display
module.

Check if the gray

at cable is connected with the PMP board (reference 1 image 5-7).

Check if the gray

at cable is connected with the Display module (reference 2

Note: The PMP board and Display module are located inside the housing of the Input &
Communication module. The top cover of the Input & Communication module has to be
removed to access the internal wire units.

Malfunction Display module. The
projector can not read from the
installed Display module.

Replace the Display module. See "Replacing the LCD Display Interface", page 161.

Malfunction I²C communication on
the PMP board. The input boards,
the PMP board and the WARP
module also have “Board id read
errors”.

Remove/disconnect the other boards from the I²C communication line one by one and
check if this error remains. Replace the board which makes this error goes away. If none
of the boards is the cause of this error, replace the PMP board. See chapter "Projector
block diagram", page 15, to see which boards are connected to the same internal
communication line.

Code 6043: “Board id: display module write error” (Error)

Situation

Solution

Malfunction Display Module. The
projector can not write to the installed
Display Module.

Replace the Display Module. See "Replacing the LCD Display Interface", page 161.

Code 6044: “Board id: fan control board unknown format” (Warning)

Situation

Solution

Old projector software installed. The
ID parameters of the Fan Control
board are written in a format which is
not known by the projector software.

Check if the version of the installed projector software is the latest available version. The
latest version can be downloaded from

https://my.barco.com

.

Fan Control board has invalid

fi

rmware.

Replace the Fan Control board. See "Replacing the Fan control board", page 278.

Corrupt projector software.

Reinstall the latest projector software.

Code 6045: “Board id: fan control board not accessible” (Error)

Situation

Solution

Only the ID parameters of the Fan
Control board are not accessible.
The ID parameters of all other
boards are accessible.

Ignore this error message unless other functionality of the Fan Control board fails as well.
If so, replace the Fan Control board. See "Replacing the Fan control board", page 278.
