Translation of the original documentation
2.2.3.1.4 How are the maximum, minimum and typical ambient temperatures determined?
1. Select the system unit.
2. Row "Maximum, minimum ambient temperature for worst-case operation and maximum ambient temperature
for typical operation" shows the maximum/minimum/typical ambient temperature of the complete system in
connection with the respective system unit.
Information:
The maximum and typical temperature specifications correspond to a specification at 500 meters
above sea level. The maximum/typical ambient temperature is typically derated 1°C per 1000 me-
ters starting at 500 m above sea level.
3. If additional DVI-D/SDL options, interface options and CFast cards are installed, these components can
change the temperature limits of the APC3100 system.
4. Possible limitations may arise due to the mounting orientation of the Automation PC 3100. For more informa-
5.
"Information about typical conditions" on page 27
must be taken into account for typical ambient tempera-
tures. The relevant test and assessment must be carried out individually by the user on site (reading out the
temperatures in BIOS or using the B&R Control Center).
If the installed component has a
"✓"
(check mark), it can be operated without any problems at the maximum/min-
imum/typical ambient temperature of the complete system.
If the installed component has a temperature specification, e.g. "45", the ambient temperature of the APC3100
complete system is not permitted to exceed this value.
