4. Loosen the upper and lower cap screws (B), then adjust the 4 set screws in or out until the
alignment is perfectly parallel.
5. Reinstall the table insert.
Adjusting Bent Spreader/Riving Knife
1. Disconnect and lockout power to the saw!
2. Bend the spreader or riving knife by hand while installed, and then follow Steps 1-4 in
Checking Alignment to determine if it is parallel with the blade and inside the "Alignment
Zone".
If this does not work, remove it to straighten.
If you cannot straighten it properly, replace it.
Fence Adjustments
The fence has four main adjustments:
Square/Perpendicular to the table,
Height/Gap between the table and the bottom of the fence,
Parallelism to the Blade,
Clamping pressure to hold the fence in position while cutting.
These adjustments are interconnected and some trial-and-error may be needed to achieve
satisfactory results.
Square and Height
The fence face must be square to the table to produce
square cuts. Also, the fence should be adjusted high
enough off the table that it does not drag across the
surface. These two adjustments are set together with
preference given to the fence being square.
1. Disconnect and lockout power to the saw!
2. Place a square on the table against the face of the
fence (A) to check if the fence is square to the
table.
If the fence is not square to the table, go to step 3.
If the fence is square to the table, go to step 6.
