About this task
Use this procedure when Expansion Module and Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience are on
different devices on the same subnet. If you know the IP address of the device with Avaya
Vantage
™
built-in UC experience, you can use that to connect as described in
Expansion Module using an IP address
on page 119.
Before you begin
On the device to which you want to connect Expansion Module, do the following:
• Log in to Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience.
• Enable the Expansion Module service on Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience.
• Enable the Network Discovery service on Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience.
Procedure
1. Open the Avaya Connect Expansion Module application.
2. Tap
Connect to a nearby device
.
The Expansion Module application displays the Available Devices screen with the list of
nearby devices that have the Network Discovery service enabled. By default, the list
displays identification information such as device model and IP address for each device. If
you customize the Network Discovery Name for a device on Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC
experience, the list displays that name instead of the default information.
3. Tap the device to which you want to connect the Avaya Connect Expansion Module
application.
4. For future connectivity between the two applications, tap one of the following options:

Always use this device
•
One time use
If you are connecting to the selected device for the first time or you removed the existing
pairing between the applications, the Expansion Module application displays a verification
code with a timeout progress bar. The code remains valid for 15 seconds.
5. On the device to which you sent the connection request, open the Avaya Vantage
™
built-in
UC experience.
