a conference call.
Call pickup
In an Avaya Aura
®
environment, your administrator can create a call pickup group by connecting
multiple telephone extensions. For example, a pickup group might contain the extensions of
everyone in the payroll department. That way, if someone calls a payroll extension, anyone in the
department can answer the call.
Your administrator must add you to a pickup group before you can answer an incoming call to a
group member from your extension.

supports the following call pickup options through the Expansion Module
application:
• Group Call Pickup: You can answer a call on behalf of a member of the same pickup group.
• Extended Call Pickup: As a member of a pickup group, you can answer a call to another
pickup group by dialing the number of the pickup group in the extended pickup group.
• Directed Call Pickup: You can answer a call to another person directly by specifying the
extension number of the ringing phone.
