G.
Visual inspection of the sound condition of the basin seal and the silicone strap
Check if there are holes in the basin seal and check the condition of the strap located in the lower part of
the door, inside the basin (See instructions in paragraphs 6.12 and 6.13)
H.
Check the spring (only for models with manual door)
Open the door up to half way through its travel and then release it to let it close: if the door bangs
(without being slowed down by the gas spring) then the gas spring must be replaced (see instructions in
paragraph 6.14).
I.
Check the fittings for the liquid pipes
Check the fittings located at the ends of the pipes in the upper and lower compartments. Take the two
pipes joined by the fittings and pull them in opposite directions to check if they do not detach. Press and
rotate the two parts of the fitting to check its seal. If there are leaks from pipes or fittings then replace
the damaged component with a new one.
J.
Check the clogged control monitor (when present)
The machine must be on and in its "stand-by" mode (the display shows the message "select program");
Access the lower compartment by removing its panel. Detach the pipe inserted in the fitting fastened to
the drain trap (fastened to the pipe that starts from the trap and rises along the rear side of the machine);
Immerge the pipe in a drum full of water for at least 20 cm;
If the sensor works properly then the alarm message will appear on the display to warn the user that the
trap is clogged. If this is the case then insert the pipe back into its fitting on the trap and press "reset" on
the keyboard to reset the machine. If the message does not appear then repeat the check, immerging the
small pipe deeper and deeper. If it still does not work then replace the sensor.
Cut off electrical power by turning the appliance's service switch off. Detach electrical connections and
the sensor's transparent pipe. Replace the sensor and reconnect all connections. Then restore the
electrical supply and repeat the initial test.
K.
Check the direction of the lower jets and check for any leaks from their seals (installed between
fitting and basin)
Perform a test cycle and see if the machine drips from its bottom (visible from the upper compartment);
Cut off power to the appliance by turning the service switch, located in its lower compartment, off. Also
turn the main switch on the external electrical supply mains to off.
Remove the lower panel and access the compartment behind it. Then, with your hand, check if there are
water leaks from the plastic header, checking for any water deposits and/or droplets.
If the header leaks water then check if the jets are well tightened (try to tighten them better). If it still
leaks then the header must be replaced (See the instructions in paragraph 6.7.5).
L.
Cleaning the level probe in the storage tank
(See the instructions in paragraph 6.3.1).
M.
Check for movement and "play" in the jack hook brass pin-lock system on the automatic door
(when present)
Open (but not completely) the door of the wash chamber. Cut off power to the appliance using the
service switch in the upper compartment.
Move the door up and down to check for excess play in pin gears. If there is too much play and it is
difficult to open the door then replace the entire unit (see instructions in paragraph 6.14).
N.
Cleaning the filters
(See the instructions in paragraph 6.9.1)
