7.3 Draining the machine

WARNING!
Warm water can be found inside the steam
generator and the pump.

7.3.1 Draining the steam generator

Unscrew the cover from the underside of the ball valve on
the steam generator. Open the ball valve and drain the steam
generator. The amount of water in the steam generator is about
550 ml. When it is empty, close the ball valve and put it back and
close the cover.

7.3.2 Draining the main pump

WARNING!
Take care when pulling out the plug.

Unscrew the plug on the lower front edge of the pump and drain all
the water from the pump. The amount of water in the main pump is
about 400 ml. Replace the plug and make sure it isn’t leaking.

The illustration below shows the freestanding model as an
example.
