Structure and function
The seed incurred in the calibration test drops
into the calibration troughs.
The number of calibration troughs is equal to the
number of seed dosers.
The calibration troughs are nested for transport
and fastened to the rear wall of the hopper se-
cured with a linch pin (Fig. 68/1).

Seed predosing
The seed rate predosing, which doses the seeds in the air flow, can
be cut in before the machine starts up.
The run time of the seed predosing is adjustable.
Seed predosing is used when corners are to be sowed which can only
be reached when the machine is reversed.
Start-up ramp
The "start-up ramp" is adjustable, allowing the seed rate to be
adapted to the machine acceleration after turning.
After turning and actuating the control unit
yellow
, the machine goes
to its operational position. Seed is dosed into the delivery line. In or-
der to compensate system-specific reductions in seed rate during the
acceleration phase, the start-up ramp can be cut in.
For this purpose, the probable working speed set in the calibration
menu is used. The starting speed and the time until the probable
working speed is reached can be set as a percentage of the probable
working speed.
This time and the percentage value depend on the respective tractor
acceleration and prevent the dosing of insufficient seed during the
acceleration phase.
