SHIFT Button
The
button (located to the top left of the T-Bar) is used to “shift” the function of almost all other buttons on the Mira Control Panel.
Whenever you
tap
(
press and release
) the
button, all the lamps for all the buttons on the control panel that have a shifted function
will “
breath
” in an amber color. This is an obvious indication for the operator that the SHIFT function is currently
active
.
If the
button were tapped
accidentally
; simply tap it again to
deactivate
the SHIFT function.
While the SHIFT function is active, tapping any button with a shift label above it will then perform that shifted function. For example, the
following buttons all have a shifted function, as indicated by the text label
above
the button:

While the SHIFT function is active, pressing any of these buttons will activate the shifted function for that button. As soon as the shifted
function is activated, the SHIFT function is
automatically canceled
.
Repeating a SHIFT Function
You may also
press and hold down
the
button to perform some shifted functions
more than once
.
For example, if you wish to step the video more than one frame,
press and hold down
the
button, then tap the
button
repeatedly to step forward several frames within a single operation.
When you’re finished with the repeated operation,
tap
the
button to turn
OFF
the SHIFT function.
Panel Lock
Notice that the
and
buttons (located directly to the left of the rotary dial) are joined by an icon: a small padlock. Press and
hold these two buttons simultaneously for one second to engage panel lock. When panel lock is engaged, all other LEDs on the control
panel are extinguished, and only the LEDs below the
and
buttons are active (they flash red). To disengage panel lock, tap
and
simultaneously.
MIN / MAX Button
Tapping
+
hides the row of live
camera thumbnails in the Mira Instant Replay GUI and
vertically expands the clip register and playlist windows.
Tapping the same button sequence a second time will
revert to the default GUI layout.
