The Mira Instant Replay Control Surface is comprised of two parts: the Mira Control Panel; and a graphical user interface—which is
provided on the Win7 computer desktop which runs inside the Mira Server main chassis.
Control connection between the Mira Control Panel and the main Mira Server chassis is provided by a single CAT-5 (Ethernet) cable with
standard RJ45 plugs.
Depending on the ship date of your Mira server chassis, power for the control panel is supplied to the Mira Control Panel either:
From a “
Power Over Ethernet
” (POE) external power supply, which injects DC power into the same CAT-5 cable that provides
control to/from the Mira Control Panel.
From the “
Control Panel
with
ETHERNET POE
” RJ45 port on the Mira main chassis rear panel. Only “
Control Panel
” ports
labeled as “
ETHERNET POE
” can provide power for the Mira Control Panel.
It’s possible to connect two Mira Control Panels to one Mira Server, by utilizing two CAT-5 connections and providing two computer
monitors to two separate operators (the second monitor is connected to the secondary monitor output on the graphics card, which is then
programmed as an “Extended Desktop Monitor” from Mira’s Windows 7 Control Panel utility).
