The following table describes the labels in this screen.
3.12.1 G.SHDSL Profile Add or Edit
Click the Add button in the Profile Setup screen to add a new profile or click the name of an
existing profile to edit the profile.
At the time of writing, if you enable line probing when using 4- or 8-wire mode, the
connection to a CPE device may fail.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Up Click this link to go to the card's Port Setup screen.
Profile Name These are the names of individual profiles. The DEFVAL profile always exists and
all of the DSL ports have it assigned to them by default. Click a profile’s name to go
to a screen where you can edit the profile.
Max Rate (Kbps) This is the maximum transfer rate for the ports that belong to this profile. Speeds
from 192 to 2304 (Kbps) are supported.
Min Rate (Kbps) This is the minimum transfer rate for the ports that belong to this profile. Speeds
greater than 192 kilobits per second (Kbps), but less than the maximum rate are
supported.
PSD Region This field shows the Power Spectral Density (PSD) region that is configured for this
port ( Annex A or Annex B ).
POTS ( Annex A ) is mostly used in North America, whereas ISDN ( Annex B )
versions are widespread in Europe.
LineProbe This field shows the line probing settings.
N-Wire This field shows the wire pair number.
Add Click this button to configure a new profile.
Delete Select a profile’s Delete check box and click the Delete button to remove the
profile.
