40. Lubricants/General Information/Disposal
Recommended lubricants
Gears:
Lubricant: Oil EP 100 Total
Winkel-und Stirnradgetriebe (for chopper)
Lubricant: ISO VG 150 EP
Hydraulics:
According to the specifications of the harvester manufacturer.
Grease nipples in general:
Lubricant: Semi-fluid grease EP2
Take care to wear the according protective clothing. Perform
an inital controll for Commissioning the corn header.
General Instructions
Principally, all moving parts must be lubricated and cared for in
the scope usual within mechanical engineering.
Regular cleaning and the removal of deposits serve to maintain
the value and the operational safety.
Any not specifically mentioned parts which are subject to regular
and irregular movement must also be lubricated and greased from
time to time.
After expiry of a harvesting season, all metallically bare machine
parts should be effectively treated against corrosion.
Lubricant: Oil (standard)
Storage
Recommendation:
Clean machine thoroughly from residual crop and other residual
materials.
Leave cleaning flaps and service openings open during the stor-
age period in order to prevent damage to cables and lines through
vermin (mice etc.).
Disposal
Ensure for the proper and eco-friendly disposal of operating
materials, auxiliary materials, and components.
Take care that working materials (e.g. oils, fats, or other working
materials) or any other materials which could pollute the water, do
not reach the ground water or the ground.
