22. Mounting the Corn header

Preparation of the feeding chute
Set the tension and the clearance to the feeding chute of the
conveyor chain according to the specifications of the harvester
manufacturer.
(See the harvester operating manual)
Before the initial mounting of the header, check the lowering
safeguard (A) of the feeding chute. Never perform any work at the
header without the lowering safeguard.
Perform all work at the harvester at shut down diesel
motor!

Adapting the header to the thresher
The corn header must be first deposited on the supports.
Check the correctness of the adapter parts.
Move the thresher to the header.
Lift up the picker with the feeding chute.
Verify the adapter connection (A) for correct fit/engagement. .
During the mounting procedure, no persons may
reside between the thresher and the corn header.

Exchange frame (model-dependant)
Depending on the model, the adaption to the thresher may vary.
At the delivery, the locking mechanism is in opened condition.
Move the thresher to the header.
After the same have engaged, loosen the screws, close the lock-
ing mechanism and subsequently retighten the screws.
Verify the adapter connection for correct fit/engagement.
During the mounting procedure, no persons may
reside between the thresher and the corn header.
