Picking Plate Adjustment
Diagram 25
Base setting of the picking plates
The picking plates are set by the factory to the base setting 24
mm in the front and 28 mm in the back to the position „tight“. This
means that the picking plates are pushed together as far as pos-
sible.
The setting of these values is performed via the screwed on
picking plate (R) and the screws (K).
The wedge-shaped setting is of utmost importance for the func-
tion of the header.
The operation of the picking plates is performed via the hydraulic
system of the thresher. Depending on the harvester model, this
can be conducted either via the function „Lift/Lower Reel“ or via
an additional valve.

Depending on the respective deployment, spoilage of the picking
plates can not be excluded. For this reason, hydraulically repeat-
edly open up and close the picking plates (L) at least once every
day in order to ensure for smooth running and to wipe of any
spoilage.
Oil the joints every 100 hours. Clean the return springs.
After completion of the harvesting season, clean the support
plating (C) and the picking plate (L) and protect against corrosion
using suited agents.
Take care to maintain the centric arrangement of the picking gap
in the middle working position.
The form and design of the picking plates may vary from the
depicted image from country to country.

Picking plate adjustment at rigid corn header
The picking plate clearance can be continuously set from the
driver cabin via the double-acting cylinder.
If it is intended to perform a readjustment of the picking plates,
first bring the hydraulic setting to the narrowest possible position
of the picking plates. Subsequently verify the conical positioning
of the picking plates (for setting, see Diagram 25).
For an even picking plate clearance, if required, set the same via
the adjustment lever (H).
