Protective housing of the corn header
Before any commissioning, check the completeness and intact-
ness of the rubber protective housing. If damage is detected, find
out why and how the damage was caused.
Check!

Immediately replace damaged or lost protection elements.
Lateral straw choppers
– protective installation
At certain header models and particular row spacing, it may occur
that, on either the left or right or even both sides, the chopper
knives are close to the exterior housing of the picker.
In this event, a special protection prevents the contact with the
fast rotating chopper knives.
Ensure for the completeness and intactness of the safety installa-
tions.
At activated drive system and running motor, maintain suffi-
cient distance away from the chopper knives!
Attention: The blades run after for 2 minutes!
Clean air filters and other
sensitive components on a
daily basis!
Dust development
For physical reasons, a certain amount of dust development can
not be avoided at horizontally operating choppers close to the
ground.
In addition, chopped material that is flung about, depending on
the characteristics of the same, may influence the one or other
function of the corn header.
It is therefore important to regularly clean air filters and similar
devices, as well as other sensitive parts (piston rods of the hy-
draulic cylinders etc.).
