Attached Equipment
Be particularly careful when coupling/decoupling the corn header from or pto the field chopper/harvester!
The corn header may only be mounted to respectively suited field choppers/harvesters!
Work at the corn header may only be performed at shut down motor and removed ignition key! All operating elements
should be in neutral position and the hydraulic lines may not be pressurised!
Never perform any work under the lifted corn header!
The corn header may only be transported on public roads and paths with the respectively intended transport trailer!
On public roads and paths, the corn header must principally be brought to transport position. Mount protective aprons with
flashing lights and the frontal protection to the corn header, and connect the lighting. Only perform repairs, maintenance,
cleaning, and the remedy of malfunctions when the drive system is deactivated and shut down motor!
– remove the igni-
tion key!
Liquids which evacuate under high pressure (e.g. hydraulic oil) can penetrate the skin and cause serious injuries that are
not visible! Immediately seek medical help in the vent of an injury! There is a risk of infection!
Dispose of exchanged operating materials, such as waste oil, according to the regulations!
Any repairs at the hydraulic system/installations may only be performed by accordingly specialised workshops!

Operation of PTO Shaft
Only the pto shafts as specified by the manufacturer may be used!
The protective tube and funnel of the pto shaft, as well as the tractor universal joint protection must be mounted and func-
tional!
At the pto shaft, comply with the specified tube override in the transport and working position!
Mount and disassemble drive shafts only if the pto shaft is deactivated, the motor is shut down, an the ignition key is re-
moved!
When using drive shafts with overload or freewheel clutch which is not covered by the safety installation at the tractor, the
overload or freewheel clutch must be mounted on the device side!
Always take care to correctly mounting and securing of the drive shaft!
Secure the shaft protection against rotating by engaging the chains!
Before activating the pto shaft, ensure that the selected drive shaft speed of the field chopper/harvester accords to the
permissible speed of the device!
Before activating the pto shaft, ensure that no persons are residing within the hazard zone of the device!
Never activate the pto shaft at shut down motor!
When working with the pto shaft, no one may reside in the area of the turning pto shaft or drive shaft.
Always shut down the pto shaft, if the angle is too great or the same is not needed!
Attention! After the deactivation of the pto shaft, there is a hazard due to the following up inertia! Do not move close to the
device during this period. You may only work at the machine, when it has come to total standstill.
Only lubricate, clean, or set pto shaft-driven devices when the pto shaft is deactivated, the motor is shut down, and the ig-
nition key is removed!
Deposit the decoupled drive shaft in the respectively intended fixture!
After disassembly of the drive shaft, put the protective cover on to the pto shaft stump!
In the event of malfunctions/damage, immediately remedy the same before commencing to work with the device!
Notice
In regard to the drive shaft, comply with the operating instructions of the drive shaft manufacturer.
(Separate operating instructions!)
13. Hydraulic System
The hydraulic system is pressurised!
When connecting hydraulic cylinders und motors, comply with the specified connection of the hydraulic hoses!
When connecting the hydraulic hoses to the field chopper/harvester, ensure that the hydraulics on both sides are depres-
surised!
At the hydraulic connection of the functions between the field chopper/harvester and the frontal accessory equipment, the
coupling sleeves and plugs should be marked to exclude faulty operation! In the vent the connections are mixed up, this
will lead to reverse functions (e.g. lifting instead of lowering)
– there is a RISK OF ACCIDENTS!
Regularly control hydraulic hoses and exchange if worn or damaged! The exchange hoses must accord to the technical
specifications of the device manufacturer!
Due to the risk of injury, use suited auxiliary tools to detect leakages!
Liquids which evacuate under high pressure (e.g. hydraulic oil) can penetrate the skin and cause serious injuries that are
not visible! Immediately seek medical help in the vent of an injury! There is a risk of infection!
Before working at the hydraulic system, depressurize the system and shut down the motor!
