Refer to Illu stration Bo ok, Page 33, Pictorial 5-26 for
the following steps.
• S et th e d r i v e a s s e mbly a l l t h e w a y i n t o t h e
C omputer a s s h o w n . B e c a r efu l n o t t o c r i m p
any cables in the process.

Remove the two ¹ 6 x ' / 8 " self-tapping hex head
screws from each slide rail. Then unhook the
s pring f ro m e ac h s i d e o f t h e c a b i n e t an d s e t
the slides and hardware aside.
•
Set the old top case aside; it will not be needed
again.
• Use f o u r ¹ 8 x '/ 8 " self-tapping screws to secure
t he dr iv e a ssembly t o t h e c h a ssis at A E , A G ,
A H, and AK .

• Use tw o l o c k i n g p i n s to secure the drive assem-
bly to the chassis at AF and AJ.
•
Position a sl ide rail on on e side of the top case
a s shown. Then use tw o ¹ 6
x 5/8" self-tapping
h ex head screws to secure the sl id e r ai l t o t h e
top case (through the long slots in th e r ail).
T ighten the screws so that the rail can still sl i d e
back and forth without binding.
