1 Opening for system cable of external video camera
2 Remote connection
For controlling external devices (e.g. MEDIALINK 100) with a maximum
switching capacity of 24 V / 0.5 A.
3 Selector switch
For setting the optimum viewing height of the surgical microscope or for
moving it upwards into the standby position.
While the selector switch is held in the turned position, the lifting column
moves upward (1) or downward (2), depending on the switch position.
When you release the selector switch, the lifting column stops
immediately.
The switching technology causes a delay of approx. 2 seconds at the
upper and lower end positions of the lifting column. After this time
elapses, you can move the column in the opposite direction again by
activating the selector switch again.
After being in operation for a maximum of one minute, the lifting column
must be turned off for at least nine minutes to prevent the motor from
overheating.
4 Potential equalization pin
This connector can be used to connect other active devices to the same
ground potential or for redundant connection to the protective ground.
5 connection strip for switching element (option)
Connection option for a foot control panel
6 Strain relief
The strain relief prevents inadvertent disconnection of the following
electrical connections:
– video connection cable,
– connection cable for the foot control panel (optional).
7 BNC video port (option)
For VBS video signal output.

of IEC 60601-1, section 16 (in some countries IEC 60601-1-1 may still be
