Failure of the halogen lamps
The lamp housing contains a backup lamp which automatically swings into
position when the first lamp fails. The open flap (2) indicates that the backup
lamp is in operation.
Switching manually to the backup lamp
Press button (3) to manually activate the backup lamp.
If the backup lamp fails:
• Turn on the stand at its power switch.
• Press button (4) to eject lamp module (1) partially. Remove the lamp
module and replace the lamp or insert a backup lamp module.
• Switch the suspension system back on. Adjust the brightness of the
illumination system as required.
NOTE Overheating of the lamp module!
If ventilation grids are covered e.g. by drapes, this may lead to overheating
of the lamp housing and deactivation of the lamp.
• Never cover the ventilation grids.
• Lamps switched off due to overheating will be automatically switched on
again when they have cooled down.
NOTE Risk of burns caused by hot lamp!
If you replace the lamp shortly after it has failed, the lamp will still be
very hot.
• Allow the lamp to cool down before changing it.
• Use heat-resistant protective gloves when replacing the lamp.
