Extract the SD card from the PC using the “safely remove hardware” process.

Insert the SD card in the appropriate slot of the inverter.

If Pylontech batteries have been installed, start the system by first positioning the switches of all the
batteries on “I” and then pressing the red SW button on the master battery (i.e. the battery
connected to the storage system via the communication cable).
If Weco Resu 4K4 batteries have been installed, press the POWER button for one second, making
sure that the green RUN light turns on.
If Tawaki Maui 4kWh batteries have been installed, press the POWER button, making sure that the
L8 light turns on.
If batteries other than those mentioned above are used, start them according to their relevant
procedure and power up the ZCS inverter by pressing the appropriate switch installed between the
batteries and the inverter.

Power up the storage system via the circuit breaker installed.
9.
When the display turns on (approximately 2-3 seconds after the AC circuit breaker has been closed),
disconnect the AC power to the ZCS storage system again.

From the display, press the “Menu/Back” key (first from the left) to enter the menu, and press the
“OK” key (fourth from the left) to enter the item “5. Software Update”. Enter the password
0715
and
press “OK” to start the update.

The update process will take about 3 minutes and will run automatically.

Check that the inverter completes the update correctly and that it is in the final FAULT condition
(normal since the inverter is disconnected from the AC grid). If the message “Communication Failed”
appears, switch off the inverter and repeat the procedure starting from step 7.

Once the update has been successfully completed, the country must be changed: enter the Settings
menu by pressing the “Menu/Back” key, then scroll down to the fourth item “Set Country” and enter
the country code 22.
Note: if the inverter has been running for more than 24 hours, enable the function by entering the
“Enable Country Change” menu, which corresponds to item 6 of the Settings menu. Enter the

Switch off the batteries and inverter again by setting the battery switches to O, then wait a few
minutes.
15.
Restart the inverter by first supplying DC power from the batteries and then AC power from the
circuit breaker installed.
16.
Disconnect the AC power supply, and then enter the “set country” menu again. Set the country code
according to the appropriate grid standard (e.g. for Italy: CEI-021 INT, CEI-021 EXT, CEI-016).
17.
Switch off the system and restart it after waiting a few minutes, as indicated in step 15.

Enter into the Settings menu and then the Battery Parameters submenu, enter the password
0715
.
Select the type of batteries (PYLON if PYLONTECH batteries are used, or GENERAL LITHIUM if
Tawaki or Weco batteries are used) and set the parameters according to the type and number of
batteries installed.
Note: it is necessary to set all the values requested, even if they do not change from the default
