2.3 Connecting the Ethernet/VXI-11 Interface
Connection Procedure
Connect a UTP (Unshielded Twisted-Pair) or STP (Shielded Twisted-Pair) cable that is
connected to a hub or other network device to the 100BASE-TX port on the DL9000 rear
panel.
* UTP cable or STP cable (straight cable in either case)

Notes about Connections
• Be sure to connect the DL9000 to a PC through a hub using straight cables. The
DL9000 may not operate properly if you connect it to a PC directly using a cross
cable.
• If you use UTP cables (straight cables), make sure that they are category 5.
