7.2 Editing Waveforms
There may be cases where, because the backscattering light level is too small at a reflection point in
an optical fiber, the reflection cannot be detected as an event, or there may be cases where noise is
detected as an event.
In such cases, you can insert the appropriate events or delete existing ones to adjust the waveform.
Procedure
Editing Waveforms (Event editing)
1.
Using the
rotary knob
and
ENTER
, select
OTDR
.
2.
Press the
Event Analysis Setup
soft key and then the
Event Edit
soft key to display the
following screen.
Inserts events
You can insert events when Cursor is
selected on the Rotary Knob soft key.
Deletes events
You can delete events when Event is
selected on the Rotary Knob soft key.
The event is inserted at the cursor position virtually.
The inserted event is also inserted into the list.
Turn the rotary knob to select the event that you want
to delete. The selected event’s color changes.
The event is deleted
virtually. When the event
is deleted, the following
event numbers are each
decreased by one.
The deleted event is also
deleted from the list.
