There are two DND modes:

Phone
(default): DND feature is effective for the phone system. You can apply DND to all
line registrations on the phone.

Custom
: DND feature can be configured for each or all accounts. You can specify
individual or all line registrations on a phone that has multiply registered lines.
The DND feature is enabled by default, and you have the option of disabling it. Users have no
permission to configure DND on the phone if DND feature is disabled. When DND is enabled, it
can be activated locally through the phone or through a server. A user can activate or deactivate
DND using the DND DSS key or DND soft key on the phone. The server-side DND feature
deactivates the local DND and Call Forward settings. If the server-side DND feature is activated
on any of the IP phone’s line registrations, the other line registrations are not affected. For more
information on Call Forward, refer to
Call Forward on page 400 .
The DND on code and DND off code configured on IP phones are used to activate/deactivate
the server-side DND feature. They may vary on different servers.
Return Message When DND
This feature defines the return code and the reason of the SIP response message for the rejected
incoming call when DND is activated on the IP phone. The caller’s phone LCD screen displays
the received return code.
DND Emergency
This feature allows users to receive the incoming calls from some authorized numbers even if
the DND feature is activated
.
This feature is disabled by default.
DND Large Icon
This feature allows the IP phones to display a large DND icon on the idle screen. It helps users to
clearly view that DND is activated.
DND Feature Synchronization
DND Feature Synchronization feature provides the capability to synchronize the status of the
DND features between the IP phone and the server.
