Chapter 6  How to use the Multi-functions

Enter the program number. 
With the numeric keypad, enter 

‘5’

 as the program number, and then 

press and hold down 

. 

 

[Measuring the weight of multiple samples (to automatically set ranks)] 

 

[For additive type ranking (when the user parameter 08 is 0)] 
Place one item on the instrument. 01 appears as the last two digits of the 
Main-display. 
When the item is replaced with another one, 02 appears as the last two 
digits of the Main-display. 
Repeat this to measure sample variations. Measure the weight of at least 
10 items (10 times) and then press 

. The instrument calculates the 

variations in the samples and automatically sets ranks. 
Using a larger number of samples leads to a better combination accuracy.   
 
* The measured weight is displayed on the Sub-display during sample 

weight measurement. 

* The Zero point reset and the One-touch tare can be used during sample 

weight measurement. However, if you use the One-touch tare, the last 
two digits of the Main-display are reset to 00. 

* Long-pressing 

  discards the weight measurement of the current 

sample and returns to the program number selection screen. 

* When you are editing the program data already registered, press 

 

without anything put on the instrument. Then the system keeps the 
previous setting of sample weight measurement.

[For subtractive type ranking (when the user parameter 08 is 1)] 
First, place a box containing multiple items on the instrument. 
When the indications change, remove one item from the box placed on the 
instrument. Then, 01 appears as the last two digits of the Main-display. 
When another item is removed out of the box, 02 appears as the last two 
digits of the Main-display. 
Repeat this to measure sample variations (There is no need to put any 
removed items back into the box.). Measure the weight of at least 10 items 
(10 times) and then press 

. The instrument calculates the variations 

in the samples and automatically sets ranks. 
Using a larger number of samples leads to a better combination accuracy.   
 
* The measured weight is displayed on the Sub-display during sample 

weight measurement.
