Automatic Protection Option – 40 /60W Version
– Find the black #16 stranded wire connected between the ACH-1 terminal on the power
supply PWB and the front panel power switch. Remove the wire and set it aside; it will not
be used.
– Prepare a 22-inch long #16 stranded black wire and attach quick-disconnect terminals to
each end of the wire. Connect one end to the
hot
load terminal of filter FL1 and the other
end to post
AChot
on the auto-protect PWB. Route the wire through the cable clamp
adjacent to FL1.
– Prepare two 19-inch long black #22 wires. Attach a quick-disconnect terminal to one end
of each wire. Attach spade terminals to the other end of the wires. Twist the wires
together. Attach the quick-disconnect terminals to the
Switch1
and
Switch2
positions on
the auto-protect PWB.
– Route the free end of the black twisted pair to the front panel power switch. Connect one
wire to the center post terminal. Connect the other wire to either of the outside posts.
– Prepare a 14-inch long #16 black wire. Attach quick-disconnect terminals on each end.
Attach one end to the
ACH-1
terminal on the power supply PWB. Attach the other end to
the
LoadH
terminal on the auto-protect PWB.
– Prepare a 15-inch long #18 black wire. Attach a quick-disconnect terminal to one end of
the wire. Attach to the
GND
post on the auto-protect PWB. Connect the free end of the
black wire to the main ground point. Trim the length as needed. Solder.
– Find the white #16 stranded wire connected between the neutral load terminal of filter FL1
and the ACN-1 post on the power supply PWB. Remove the wire and set it aside; it will
not be used.
– Prepare a 22-inch long #16 stranded white wire and attach quick-disconnect terminals to
each end of the wire. Connect one end to the
neutral
load terminal of filter FL1 and the
other end to post
ACneutral
on the auto-protect PWB. Route the wire through the cable
clamp adjacent to FL1.
– Prepare a 14-inch long #16 white wire. Attach quick-disconnect terminals on each end.
Attach one end to the
ACN-1
terminal on the power supply PWB. Attach the other end to
the
LoadN
terminal on the auto-protect PWB.
