WhitakerAudio

Parts are organized by component number and device type. For example, all 1 k

1/2-watt

resistors are packaged together. Each group of parts is placed in a resealable (clasp-type) envelope

with a self-adhesive label applied. Labels such as Avery #5260 are useful for this purpose.

Recommended envelopes include the following:

•

2.25-inch by 3.5-inch envelope (Staples no. 1 coin envelope)

•

3-3/8-inch by 6-inch envelope (Staples no. 6 coin envelope)

•

6-inch by 9-inch clasp envelope (Staples)

While this sorting requires some up-front organizational time, it serves as a check that all parts

are accounted for and speeds assembly of the PWB.
