, 2 W . Solder in place, providing about ½-inch clearance above the

– Install R12 and R13 – 100 k

, 0.5 W . Solder in place.
– Install R14 and R15 – 1 k

, 0.5 W . Solder in place.
– Identify R16 – 200

, 0.5 W . Set this component aside with the chassis parts. It will be
installed later.
– Install R17 and R18 – 100 k

, 2W . Solder in place, providing about ½-inch clearance
above the board.
Clean the soldering iron tip.
– Install C1 – 25 µF, 50 V , electrolytic. Solder in place, observing proper polarity.
– Install C2 – 22 pF, 600 V, ceramic . Solder in place.
– Install C3 and C7 – 180 µF, 450 V, electrolytic . Solder in place, observing proper
polarity. After each device is inserted into the board, bend the leads over onto the foil
trace; then solder. Use sufficient solder to fill the foil side of the mounting pad. Be careful
to not use too much heat as that may damage the capacitor.
After soldering the capacitors in place, double-check your work. Note that the negative (–)
terminals all face the same direction on the PWB.
– Install C4 and C5 – 0.22 µF, 600 V . Solder in place.
