6.29. Grain Bands

6.29.1 Install Typical Grain Bands

Grain band installation patterns are unique according to diameter, and according to whether the Grain Bin Dryer
is a continuous flow unit or batch unit.

1. Using the following

Section 6.29.2 – Grain Band Layouts on page 77

, find and follow the grain band layout

corresponding to the specific Grain Bin Dryer under construction.

2. Install the grain bands to the grain band posts.

a. Use 5/16” bin bolts and flanged nuts.

b. Always overlap grain bands at the grain band posts.
